I don't know...OSU IS a pretty good squad...now I DO think WSU should be ahead of KSU...by at least a few spots...

At this moment in time OSU does not impress me. They really struggle to score.

The AP poll isn't the selection committee or the RPI, which is how it appears you're looking at this. Surely by now you know how the polls work and that the voters don't just look at the RPI to assemble their ballot. They don't look at a 5-pt road loss to the #1 team and say, "oh well, it's still a loss", like the RPI does. Would WSU fare as well? Who knows for sure, but I doubt it.

I hate to use the term, but the "eye test" has significant influence on how teams are evaluated by humans.

But if you want to look at RPI, OSU's worst loss was at #15 Illinois. Ours was at #93. We may have the VCU win, but that just makes things close enough to be arguable. I hardly find it a slight.

We will get our shot at a major leap in the polls in a week. Just don't trip up before then.
