  • Scoring Differential by 4-minute periods

I have computed the difference between WSU's scoring and the Opponent's scoring in each 4-minute period of each game.

"I not sure that I've ever been around a more competitive player or young man than Fred VanVleet. I like to win more than 99.9% of the people in this world, but he may top me." -- Gregg Marshall 12/23/13 :peaceful:

Remember when Nancy Pelosi said about Obamacare:
"We have to pass it, to find out what's in it".

A physician called into a radio show and said:
"That's the definition of a stool sample."

Very interesting. We seem to get off to a very good start the first 4 minutes of the game. Eventhough we have good totals as to outscoring our opponents, as a total, most of the rest of the 4 minute periods in the 1st half, we have actually only outscored them 29 of 56 opportunities.

We own the first three 4 minutes periods of the second half winning 28 of 42 chances. Not so with our finish. The last two periods we win only 12 of 28 opportunities. That's a little worrisome.

We do score in bunches. 20 times we've outscored our opponents 6-14 points in a 4 minute period. On the other side, we've never been outscored by more than 6 or 7 for a total of 7 times.

Score Differential at end of 4-minute periods

This shows the Shockers are leading at the end of 111 of the 140 potential 4-minute periods.
