      +1

there was no way in hell that marshall and staff was going to allow anything close to like last years creighton game here. i wouldn't be surprised if this team watched tape of that game, even while preparing for uni.

no eff'ing way was that going to happen again

One of their posters thinks 3G doesn't deserve the money he is making because he hasn't won an NCAA game yet. Another questions his ability because he wears yellow glasses. As far as I'm concerned he can wear any color damn glasses he wants and if he keeps bringing in good, quality young men to represent our university and I don't have to read about their extra curricular activities in the morning paper then he can never win a game in the ncaa. (I hope to God he does but you all know what I meann)

NIU is the same NIU I have been watching for as long as I care to remember. Very white, very slow, and very unathletic. Over the years they have been mind-boggling effective against us in spite of the severe physical disadvantage they suffered (I think KU can appreciate this maddening mystery). Last night everything seemed right in the world of college athletics. Big athletic team hammers smaller, unathletic team.

I forget that Cotton is just a sophomore. He carries himself like a senior. Very consistent effort and smart. Not flashy, but steady.

Agreed and Tekele has not really been totally healthy this year I don't think. He had his right hand taped earlier in the year, the he had a muscle strain in his back and had his torso taped for a number of games (not sure if that is totally behind him or not) and recently he has been dealing a with bone bruise on his foot. I'll take this young man in my foxhole any day of the week.

I'll take BCS Salary, Marshall, JUCO's, nation wide recruiting, and winning ALL DAY LONG!

They can keep flopping, crew cuts, recruiting only in states with high cheese per capita rates, and rock-eating drunk drivers all day long!

                  F'em!

What they fail to realize is the 1.6 he is paid isn't for his NCAA performance. That's just so he doesn't run off after the first BCS school to come along (which he hasn't). If they think that is obnoxious just wait and see what he is paid here after he wins those NCAA games.

The real truth is they can see that their panthers are 6-6 (5 wins at home) and outside of getting lucky in St.Louis have zero chance of making NCAA for 3rd straight season. Worse yet they lose Koch, James, Sonnen, and Phel. Next year looks to be just as much of a struggle as this year. They insult WSU's JUCO's out of envy and disguise it as integrity.....psssssssst please!

Two programs going in different directions, they are just trying to make sense of it all, hard not to pity them.

BTW, they act as though the JUCO transfers wouldn't have been admissible to UNI. I find that hard to believe, looking into it rather quickly UNI and WSU have the exact same transfer standard if you have 60 credit hours, that would be a 2.0. Granted you get into whether or not 60 credits would be transferred even though for NCAA eligibility you have to have graduated from the two year school. I doubt many players get all 60 credits transferred or if any get all 60 but if they get between 41-59 credits you need a 2.25 compared to the 2.0 for Wichita. I seriously doubt any of the players wouldn't have been able to get into UNI. It's just sad what they have to resort to insulting the players based on nothing more than ignorance.

I believe that Tekele Cotton was born a man, not a baby. I also think he is our silent enforcer. After we stuffed an NIU player and he fell hard to the floor, NIU committed a hard (uncalled) intentional foul on the very next play. Cotton was immediately put back out on the floor. I don't think anybody wants to **** with Cotton. If an opposing player wants to take a run at a Shocker player and chooses Tekele, he's going to come up second best in that altercation.

Hey, I thought it was common knowledge that UNI is the Stanford of north central Iowa or at the very least of the Waterloo-Cedar Falls area. It's a shame they have to decline admission to so many worthy students.

If ignorance is all you got then thats what you have to put out. The private elite school vs the PUBLIC school gets thrown out anytime situations like this arise.

Typical reaction by a fanbase who was (and is) expecting NCAA at-large results that just got hammered by 25 by a bunch of worthless JUCO's, missing 3 starters, from a coach and program that has now beaten and, in a few cases, demolished them in 4 straight games now.

We're the ones with the scoreboard and the last laugh. I have been laughing for the last 12 hours when going over there and reading their posts as they sulk in misery.

                              ... No really, deuces.

The Valley TV announcers didn't help the situation. They kept calling Hall a starter but never mentioned that the other two were starters. They implied that they were reserves.
