Lets give it more than one game before we get too carried away. I hope he's figured it all out, but only time will tell

I assume you are referring to the technical fouls and the past is the past. I'm not the least bit worried about Armstead's temper moving forward.

I'm siding with Sub on this one. MA played MUCH better tonight but his shot selection is still a little questionable. He also made a few boneheaded passes that had no chance of making it. Thankfully, the questionable shots MA took tonight from 3-point range swished in. If they hadn't, it wouldn't have helped his case.

Keep the mouth shut, make good passes, take good shots, be a leader. That's all that we ask, and there was a glimpse of that tonight.

My case for giving Fred the pg minutes was he is sufficient enough to live with and let him get better quicker if malcom was going to keep having games like like the one he had, and keep up the poor shot selection. This was probably Malcom's BEST game this season and I believe Fred's ceiling is MUCH higher even if Malcom's floor is higher right now.

Plus if Fred was given more of a leash he'd be more comfortable and play HIS game.....he can get by people at will he just plays a little timid at times. His basketball IQ right now is HIGHER than Malcom's. With that said Malcom played great and I'm not AGAINST him being the starter......just wanted to look at things from another perspective.

I think you make some valid points. Coach Marshall had them both on the floor at the same time last night quite a bit. They both played well and I expect we will see more of that in the future.

                    • This thread is priceless for it's insane amount of silliness.

The team functions better when MA is in the game and it isn't close (This can be said for all but two games this season). The technical fouls are no worse than any other bonehead play; furthermore, the shockers will absolutely get run out of the gym if there is a game without MA. His defense, handles, and overall toughness are off the charts compared to past shocker point guards...

Listen to last night's color commentator if you want a non-partisan observer's opinion of the current competition between FV and MA.

                          • Armstead especially, and Cotton and Williams were just great last night. VanVleet was smooth too, but didn't stand out as much. Excellent guard play all around.

                              • Early, Armstead, Cotton, and D-Will lead the way. The others followed in step and in tune to the black and yellow poetry in motion. There was an urgency for our players to hit the gym and work on shots. They did, it paid off, but what about that vigorous and tough as nails Defense both inside and out? WOW!!! Our D. enhance the O. and a 25 point surpass was the verdict. U like?
