And this is why KU avoids WSU, even in neutral court settings. They know that WSU would probably win at least 3 of 10 meetings from them. Then it kills the image that they are superior to the little non-BCS school. If they just avoid them all together, everyone assumes that KU is always better and superior to WSU.

But yeah, at least Indiana and other similar schools have balls. A loss to Butler isn't gonna damage IU's profile or tournament resume one iota.

Also, just in case anyone is still out there wondering why the old Big Least wants non-BCS Butler at the top of their wish list, today is another example. Not only have they become a major program, they are a major player.

ADD: Also, VCU, so far, is putting the whoopin' stick to Alabama, 33-18 end of the 1st.

That Butler team is young too. Very impressive display today and since being so young, will keep making noise for years to come. I'm jealous.

Since 1993, Butler is 5-1 against Indiana. They avoid BU if they can. They cannot every other year, because Butler, Notre Dame, Purdue, and Indiana play annually a doubleheader where the Pacers play,

It would be great if WSU, Umkc, kU and Kstate would play in a double header each year in KC or ICT.

Congrats on your win today and I'm glad you're the team that's taking our place in the Top 25 next week.

Who ever runs KU makes everything too difficult. I watched that 30 for 30 special about them getting the rules of basketball.. It sounded like the university threw a fit about putting up a statue of Naismith in front of AFH and they were not on board with their biggest donor going out and fetching the rules of basketball until the very last minute. My guess is, not only is KU close minded and arrogant, their true reasons for not scheduling Wichita State are probably something stupid like 1. We didn't name our school after a state. 2. Until recently KU was bitter rivals with Missouri and rivals with K-State, even though they only showed interest in the rivalries in basketball. Now they are stuck with just K-State to claim as their biggest rival. I highly doubt they would go out of their way to schedule WSU with missouri out of the pic now, but who knows.. Didn't the KU A.D. say they wouldn't schedule WSU after Marshall supposedly disrespected the "state school" at the NIT trophy celebration a few years ago?

The Indiana-Butler game unfortunately was a reminder to KU why they shouldn't play the Shockers.

In one respect, I agree, Tropical...except they should feel like nothing to lose except the game!!! Would the world end for KU?Would they lose a recruit or two?No...to me, it's a win/win for them ....even playing hereon a neutral floor. Wish they would do it! NOW....KSU...I can see them not wanting to play the Shockers...they can keep up the illusion in their own minds of being the second best team in the state, but if they play WSU, that illusion gets shattered.
