And casual fans will probably not show up at all for this type of schedule. I LOVE it that we're b*tching and moaning about not selling a couple of hundred tickets to games against cupcake opponents. We expect to sell out every game, and when we fall short we get all over each other about it and accuse others of being bad fans or whatever. Trust me, I'm not being sarcastic or critical--this is a GREAT problem to have. The couple hundred empty seats are not indicative of a lousy fan base, but the reaction to it is indicative of some of the best fans in the country.
Cupcakes are a short term problem. Once we establish ourselves as a perrenial NCAA tournament team with some national recognition (ie Gonzaga or Xavier), it will be easier for HCGM to schedule bigger name opponents. This season is going to help out our reputation a great deal--this was supposed to be a down year for us and we are every bit as good as we were last year instead. The national brands just want to know that if they schedule us a couple years out, that we won't suck when they play us and they'll take a big hit to their RPI whether they win or lose."It's amazing to watch Ron slide into that open area, Fred will find him and it's straight cash homie."--HCGM

In all these legitimate cases 2-4, sell or give away your tickets in advance.

Eric Church, Cotillion concert, ppv boxing, heisman decision, we're playing Northern Colorado. I think those play a huge role in last game, specifically the opponent. I was actually surprised we had so many people at that game. I think it was a great turnout no matter our record or ranking. Aside from being ranked in the top 15 in the country, I would never expect us to sell out No. Col. on that weekend.

I offered the tickets to the officer, but he said he would instead drive my wife home, - but, they wound up at Michelle's Beach House.

The good news - it appears my wife now has the part time job she has been looking for to help pay for the Southern Mississippi tickets. If you take the high road, you won't find much traffic there . . .
