So now it’s official that both Meeks and Williams will not play this season due to their respective meniscus surgeries.

      Who did these surgeries?
      Dr. No?
      Dr. Feelgood?
      Dr. Johnny Fever?
      Dr. Doolittle?

I wish them well, but man…sure seems like a long recovery.

I was wondering the same thing. WSU apparently needs to find a new surgeon for these things.

Imagine having a computer tell you only have a 38% chance of winning against a mediocre South Florida team that is using an interim coach.

          Just imagine.

Perhaps I wouldn't waste a whole season for them on 8 games that mean nothing. I'd also be playing Zion more.

Just as likely they never play a minute for us. No stockpiling/sandbagging talent anymore.

                    Just some thoughts.

                    1) They can't play, so it makes no difference.
                    2) They could play but Mills isn't wasting a full season for them on a few games and minutes (his decision and good for him).
                    3) The players appreciate Mills decision and will stay if Mills still wants them.

At this stage of the season, unless the player simply wants to play and burn a season, I know I wouldn't do it unless it helps the team. On the other hand, I would probably play Zion as much as reasonable.

IMO, Meeks never did want to play here, or plan to play here, IMO

The Shocks allowed S. Florida to score 91 points on our own floor. We only had 7 assist with 12 turnovers. The Shocks were only 3-20 on 3 point shooting at a % of 15%. Their bench outscored ours 34-11. S. Florida is not as good a team as they were last Season IMO.

As the Shocks play the back 9, it is past time to shore up these issues right now with all of our experienced 5th year Seniors. The Shocks will squeeze out a 3 point surpass victory as Corey, Ballard, Bell, and Hill lead us with a combined 58 pts of our 72 as they did at 21st. and Hillside. This will also be a 3 point Superbowl win for the Chiefs at 24-21. The Shockers will go to an inside-out approach this time and play aggressive D-Fence.
