Well...the "non-conference grade" portion has to be somewhere around a C+ to B-.
And the "conference grade" portion has to be an F. There have been very few instances of losing less then 25% of our conference games in the last 50 years.

In honor of Drake University, I am going with a D+.

I'm willing to forgive some of the non-conference blunders just by beating KSU. We rarely play in-state games, and it's important we win them. Plus, I hate KSU fans.

But, we're in next-to-last place in the conference, so D+.

I watched a few minutes of Drake vs. Murray State last night, and while they may not have the same athleticism as the AAC, it sure was nice to see some decent passing and off ball movement!

I gave us an F.

We've had some B games. Maybe even an A- game. But we've had several absolute F games. Games so bad that they've redefined what an F game means for WSU.

And, given this is the middle of Mills' second season, and grading on a comparative curve (i.e. looking at what similar or lesser programs have done given similar circumstances), this team gets a perfect F.

Ask yourselves this. If Mills was on a year-by-year contract, and there was no financial penalty for letting him go after this season, can ANYONE come up with any reason to keep him? If there was any hope at all for him, then maybe a "D" would be warranted. But I don't see one.

Last night's win raised the grade to D-

I gave us a C. We had some good wins in the noncon so I gave us a B for that. We have only 2 wins in the conference so D. Hopefully we can finish strong in the conference. We have been close in several games but don't seem to have the winning mentality at the end of close games.

I am with some of the others. Beating K-State keeps me from saying the team has completely failed. That night showed what CKA can still be.

But otherwise, the season, particularly in conference, has been a mess, so I have to give this a D.

Out of emotion I gave them a F.

I then went back and gave a grade for each game. Non-conference came up with 85%, 64% for non-conference with overall 75%.

Playing in a game to determine sole possession of last place can only get an F.

We are the Evansville of the AAC, and the AAC is not a strong conference.

You can make an argument the Eddie Fogler should get a B, because he gets "extra credit" for getting the Shockers to the NCAA tournament. I believe he has been the only coach to do so in his 2nd season.

How many coaches in their 2nd year would be in the position to have to replace 90% of their roster for year 3 though? It's ok to say its a rebuild when their is progress. We have gotten worse from the point HCPM took over and now next year get to start over again.
