Been passionately following the Shockers since the 70s and have never wavered. I’m about to. Never thought about not watching a game or checking out. Bout ready to check out for the season ( I know I won’t) but I need to for my mental health ?

I haven't been paying attention to this site, or watching many Shocker games, but has anyone here discussed the absolute lack of midrange jumpers the Shockers seem to be attempting? It's like they either drive to the rim and kick or try a difficult shot while doubled.

This **** really is hard to watch.
Amazing how this team of mostly Sr's and Grad Transfers know so little about how to play the game. Just one bad decision after another.
They play like they are the JV team.

Well we get sick of all the driving into the trees.

We are REALLY good offensively when we get it to our center, #15 Ballard. But we don't ever give it to him.

We have zero perimeter defense. Every single opponent has a record 3 point shooting night.

This staff needs to forget about this season and spend all their efforts on recruiting.
First thing, send MB back to Croatia or wherever they grabbed him from. He is not AAC level or even close.
Second, start recruiting some athletes that can play at this level. Cuz they do not have them now.
Third, be very very selective about taking other teams cast offs. Enough of the Bijan Cortes and McGinness of the world.
Fourth, find some shooters and recruit them.
Fifth, do not think they are going to build anything worthwhile poaching stiffs off the portal. If they are in the portal, there is a reason the previous team let them go.

I think Marshall wishes he was still here running the show knowing like we all do that we would be at the top not the bottom of the standings. We had something special with a coach and family that loved it here and was a big cheerleader for the city and school. Now we have this crap to deal with and watch. You only get so many chances at a school like WSU, especially with the way the college game is today…I’m afraid we’re going to suck for a long time
