I'm reminded of the story about a guy driving through the country and seeing a pig with one wooden leg on his back end. A couple weeks later the guy drove down the same raod and saw that pig without any back legs, but moving around quite nicely with a little improvised cart with two wheels.

The guy was so impressed with the kindness and love shown toward the poor rear legless pig that he stopped at the farmer's house and thanked the farmer for the kindness and compassion he had shown the poor pig by allowing it to stay mobile and live a reasonably normal life.

To which the farmer replied, "Well, when you got a pig that good, you don't eat him all at once".
