We couldn't beat Temple last year when they were point shaving and betting on their own games. Lol

Not sure exactly how much has changed, but I know WSU is a little banged up, missing some guys, so I just don't have a good feeling about the game.

KenPom has WSU as 1pt underdogs. Other than a one-point win over #108 Davidson at home, the Owls have lost to any team with a pulse, including by 29 to #58 Villanova.

We could win by 15 or lose by 15.

Our roster is much better than last year. I don’t know that will result in a win on the road but this is a better team than last year. The UMKC game sucked of course. Not much effort by most of the team but that happens.

These are the type of games that the Shockers need to start winning..

If the Shocks need to depend on Bell (I'm not sold he is an all-conference type player), yes, we very well may be in trouble. We need others stepping up; we'll need better defense; we didn't overwhelm Friends.

Philly always sucks for us. If we refuse to go after rebounds, play lazy defense and act like we've never seen a backdoor cut, jack 3s and rely on desperation drives into three defenders hoping to draw a whistle, we will get our asses handed to us.

If we make it a point to feed Ballard and Boz, rebound, good Bell/Hill/Cortez show up, Washington keeps playing possessed and hitting an occasional three, we'll have a chance. Instinct is telling me the coaching staff won't have them prepared though. I'm hoping to be gloriously wrong about that like the K-State game.
