Looks like lots of seats in the upper 5-7 rows around most of the arena are still available. Even the sideline sections still have seats, but not as many as the "corners" and ends. My guess is a crowd of about 9000, and half purple.

Wichita State anticipating largest Koch Arena crowd in years for K-State game

          By Taylor Eldridge
          December 20, 2024 7:47 AM

"For the first time in 22 years, the Wichita State men’s basketball team will play Kansas State at Koch Arena in a 6 p.m. game on Saturday. While the final game of a four-year series between the in-state rivals isn’t on pace to be the first Roundhouse sell-out since March 8, 2020, Saturday’s game could contend for the largest crowd at Koch Arena since the coronavirus pandemic — the current mark is 9,070 for a WSU-Houston game on Feb. 20, 2022..."

Here's you chance to see a $2 million NIL player (Hawkins) for the low, low bargain price of only $80.

Eight years ago the buzz for this game would have been OFF THE CHARTS. Today, it won't even sell out Koch Arena. Will I be there in person? Nope. Ticket cost is too high for what is being offered. Will I watch it on TV? Probably, but I won't be glued to the TV like in days of yore. My "care" level for college basketball is certainly waning. I'm hoping baseball and softball can spring my "care" back in a couple months.

I'm thankful that this game is on ESPN+ so I don't have to go out in public to watch us lose while most likely being surrounded by kitty cat fans.

I get to go have lunch and watch the Chiefs in public and then retreat back to my place to painfully watch the Shox get destroyed in front of a half purple/half black and yellow crowd.

Playing WSU should be good medicine for whatever ails the cats. I'm 110% sure they will easily find their 3 point stroke on Saturday! (Wide open uncontested catch and shoot opportunities tend to do that)

                              Quiet the noise. Hmm, ok.

Actually, I’d mix it up for this game. Like start AJM over BC. Got to have someone who is at least somewhat of a theat to make a three. Otherwise, it’s the same drive into the lane 1 v 3, and turn it over or throw up some impossible shot.
