        Warranted thread.

Simply put - his decisions aren't delivering.

I went in and fixed that.

If he turns things around, we can change his last name to Paul.

Nice! I see what you did there. I’ll take Biblical references for $200.

I think he’s done some great things facility wise.
WBB and MBB hires have been very underwhelming. The baseball hire seems decent.

From the start, Mills seemed like he doesn’t fit in to what motivates fans to support and attend games (not including W-L of course). He’s bland and with that better come an avalanche of wins.

As this article reflects, there was pressure to choose the right person for the MBB hire. We might need another reset in a few years, once we’re not paying for 3 coaches. Similar to what Louisville is going through.

That will require Jim Schaus appearing to him on his way to the office and blinding him for a time.

Saal's initial move with the MBB program was like a rookie poker player who goes "all in" with way too weak a hand way too early in the game.

Of course we’ll never know, but I am curious what, if anything, Saal has said to Mills last night and today. Can’t imagine it’s a butt chewing, although it should be. (For under-performance). In the real world, it would be some level of butt chewing. Most likely isn’t though.

My personal opinion is, unless he's having behavioral issues within the program that aren't getting addressed, the AD should stand back and let him do his job. Mills (and any other coach) knows what the expectations are, and if he doesn't meet those expectation, will be relieved of his duties in due time. Riding the coach during the season (when plenty of fans are already doing that, deservedly so) is counter-productive.

I can assure you that Kevin was HOT last night at the end of the first half and on into the second half. I posted in another thread that he was pretty fired up at the players as they walked by him going into halftime. It wasn't just an encouraging, "rah-rah" thing that you would say to a youth team.

Speaking of "rah-rah," off topic but message for emcee guy...

Please, for the love of Barker and VanFleet, don't ever ****ing do a "Two bits, four bits..." cheer at a 21st century WSU sporting event ever again. 1960 called and wants its cheer back. Sweet mercy, that was cringy.
