  • 2024-2025 NET Rankings

I've done this before and I like to be able to track the movement from week to week.

    AAC

    31 - Memphis
    59 - North Texas
    93 - Wichita

    107 - FAU
    111 - Temple
    117 - ECU
    139 - Rice

    173 - USF
    258 - Tulane
    260 - UAB
    262 - Charlotte
    285 - Tulsa
    294 - UTSA

    Non-Con

    158 - Western Kentucky
    132 - Montana State
    166 - UNI
    297 - Monmouth
    228 - Saint Louis

    155 - Minnesota
    6 - Florida
    357 - Alcorn State
    102 - East Tennessee State
    63 - DePaul
    335 - Kansas City
    94 - Kansas State

Generally, you want to see as much green and yellow as possible. Some orange isn't bad but the reds should be limited. Dark reds should be avoided.

The bottom of the AAC is atrocious to start. It's early, but damn.

    For visual representation

    1-50
    51-100
    101-150
    151-200
    201-299

I would say we not any better off than when we were in the MVC, but I went and looked at the MVC and they are not even mid-major anymore.

It looks like we potentially have three or four more Quad 1 Opportunities (Memphis x2, @North Texas, and @Depaul).

It's just another example of the NCAA helping the rich conferences getting richer. And now they want all schools to pay NIL reparations, even though most can't afford to pay players even today, let alone 6 years ago.

If there is an organization that needs dismantled, NCAA would be pretty high on my list.

What do you consider Mid-Major? The NCAA conference rankings currently have the usual suspects at the top for Majors - SEC (.614), Big 10 (.591), Big 12 (.575), ACC (.553). There is .061 separating the top 4.

Gets a little murky after that: Mountain West (.541), Big East (.537), WCC (.527), American (.522), Atlantic 10 (.519), MVC (.515), Big West (.513). It drops off more after that. The drop from the top four to #5 is only .012 and the drop from #5 to #11 is .028.

The drop from SEC to Big 12 is .039. Is the ACC now a Mid-Major or the Mountain West a Major?

We are green. That’s cool. Remember when we were bright green? Pepperidge Farms remembers…

To be bright green again, we need a whole lotta green. The question is can we get that kind of green year after year?

I think there's a lot of schools that will find they don't have the appetite or funds to try to keep up with the P4 year over year. Right now, there's a lot of money being thrown around and most players should be happy getting a free education and the extra benefits that come with being a D1 athlete. I just think the NIL is gonna dry up for the bottom 3/4 of D1 athletes/schools. There's already a massive problem for high school seniors trying to get scholarships with all the transferring going on. Many programs are rebuilding year over year with upperclassmen transfers and don't have room for many 18 year olds who will eventually transfer out when they're not playing. It's gonna end up like women's BBall where there's a massive gap between the top 25 and everyone else.

For the top 25, that's "Mission Accomplished" and they pretty much own the NCAA.

If the power conferences had split off from the NCAA things would have been better. Then there would have been two associations and the anti-trust stuff would no longer be relevant, Instead, the pwer conferences used their economic clout to take total control of the NCAA.

Perhaps we need another associaiton to be forme that would adhere to the amateur student-athlete model.
