I'm not saying we can't win some games but... you better be ready for these kind of nights if you want to maintain your sanity/emotional stability/self-esteem.

We're playing in an openly rigged game now. Oakland Athletics vs. Yankees. Adjust your expectations accordingly. Just sayin'...
Not often I agree with Cold but he's got a valid point. The difference between the haves and the have nots might not be 37 points, but WSU playing the high dollar NIL teams is playing amateurs against pros. Saal was serious when he said we needed $7 mill a year for the programs we want to be successful.

Maybe Mills isn't "the guy" but maybe there's no such thing as "the guy" with the current state of the athletic department finances and our NIL program. Maybe Emily Hiebert is the solution, but what would you think if you heard that a basketball program that wanted to be in the top 50 hired a high school volleyball coach to run their NIL program?
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.

Agreed there. Have had a blast the last couple days and will try to work around the rain today before heading back tmo.

On the “sitting on coach” part, that may be a little harsh. I’m not a lightweight guy anymore.
Brummett throws, STRUCK HIM OUT! THE SHOCKERS ARE NATIONAL CHAMPIONS! AN UNBELIEVABLE STORY!

      • The players certainly deserve some of the credit for this debacle but the great majority of the blame has to be on Coach Mills.

Coach Mills will be back next year. 9 or more of these players will not be back.

Not sure how the rest of this year will go. A bounce back is possible, perhaps likely. What that will look like is hard to say.

But I am not seeing a light at the end of the tunnel in the longer run.

        • Mills said we lost because we were too “individualized” today. Well COACH, isn’t that kinda your job to do something about that? There was nothing iterated in the game plan, during the game play, coaching on the sidelines that resembled any sort of “team” concept. That’s on YOU, pal.

          ... No really, deuces.

I should be in bed, but this game left a bad taste in my mouth. Up to this point, I never really felt like we were out of the game. But what you’re saying is so accurate. That felt like amateur vs pros. And best of luck to Emily, but when you frame it like that, you have a very solid point.

From experience with VCs, it takes a certain kind of person and a certain kind of talk to win money. Is she that? I’m skeptical, because if she was, we’d have heard about it now.

            • Zion,, Zion, Zion. 8pts. and all over the place. Let him play! MB will be fine. A 27-0 run? Rare! Still not utilizing Q. Ballard That's all today.

Shocker basketball will forever be my favorite team in all of sports.

                  Fools gold.

and QB has to care/want to be utilized.

I like QB and am extremely glad he's a Shocker. I dont' think we can land anyone more talented than him at that size.

That said, it was shocking the effort difference between him and Florida's big man. They just wanted it more.

Lot of people confusing his movement with size vs effort.

Yeah I remember that. Marshall really wasn’t good toward the end. And honestly, with NIL and how easy transfers are, I think his time is over.

You have f@&$ing brain damage if you think Marshall’s Coaching sunk any where near this even enough to say that!

                        • So the 5th worse loss in Shocker history is a frustrating slow burn for us all.
