I don't see attendance improving in the short-term. Would rolling out of Orlando 7-0 do it? Probably, but that doesn't seem very likely. Even if it does, are people showing up for Alcorn and ETSU? Probably not.
K-State game will be a big deal. If we show well, that might win some people back. It will likely come down to beating K-State or keeping up in the AAC conference race.

Had to be impressed with UC Irvine going into Frost Bite Falls and blowing out UNI.
UC Irvine has a strong post play with a 7'1" Post and a 6'!11" back up so they used their size to push UNI all over the floor.
WSU was workman-like last night to grind out a win. Good to see Corey stepping forward and AJ played meaningful minutes.
However, the issue with QB and fouls are going to come back and bite this team.
Once again, the medical situation with Meeks is a concern. If he is really hurting, they need to know his possible return date and move forward get him involved.
The league games are coming and they are a grind. Depth in the post should be high priority for this team and getting Meeks on the floor to see what he can contribute is crucial.
That is all.Above all, make the right call.

It's difficult to follow ShockRef but here goes anyway.
I was not complimentary of HCPM amongst friends and family last night. I probably have softened that take a tad bit overnight.
We lose, maybe get blown out, if Corey doesn't have an A+ game.
I said it, as have others, earlier but Irvine is really good.
I have tremendous disdain for UNI, but you cannot negate how good a coach Ben is or how he gets his guys to play the way they need to be successful. He is irreplaceable in Frostbite Falls.
One of my main reasons for being tough on the "scout" last night is that I thought the guys played hard. I thought we got after it on D. We got burned getting back too many times (Gregg Marshall had to be absolutely SEETHING watching us give up odd man rushes time and time again). I think I saw Derek Brown running some 7s in the practice gym at half because of that.
I just felt like we were woefully unprepared for what UNI would bring.
I know HCPM was upset with Pat Bev in the first half, but he sat too much and, for me at least, so did Bijan who I thought was playing quite well on both ends of the court (better defensively).
The Panthers missed some bunnies which I am sure makes their delusional fan base think they should have won the game, but they also made some incredibly difficult ones at must have times.
I CANNOT STAND Ben's timeout usage to manage fatigue. But, he's great at it.
The officiating wasn't as bad as people think, but it wasn't flawless either. Gregg probably gets T'd up there. The crew seemed to want to try to work together and communicate, but it was as if they could never get on the same page, so to speak. It was weird.
There were at least 3 times that UNI made a huge play that prevented them from getting their collective doors blown off. One of many things we have to work on are our fatality moves. But again, credit to HCBJ for knowing what can happen in that building when the Shocks get on a run and he stopped those their tracks every freaking time.
Defensively for us it was an odd game because I thought we doubled really well at times, and really AWFUL most of the time. Our rotation out of the double and especially weak side help was atrocious. I had UNI for 11 made dunks/uncontested layups and several other misses. That just cannot happen, I don't care how big the other team's playbook is.
I realize we used (and yes, SHOULD have used) our athleticism to bully UNI, so I'm kind of meh about the 10 assists but I do like the 9 turnovers and we seem to be doing an above average job of valuing possessions this season, which should serve this team well.
Last night was a reminder about how much better the coaching was in the Valley and also how far athletically behind the Valley was as well.
If the Panthers aren't very competitive in the Valley, then I give up. And not because it's UNI, but we have no GD reason to ever play them at their place. EVER. And I am sorry UNI fan, because I actually do respect your program and the teeny tiny engine that could success you've enjoyed over time and BJ is one hell of a coach and nobody gets more blood out of a rock than he does but there's just no effing way we should be playing a road game in that hell hole. MAYBE, MAYBE at Des Moines or somewhere, but NOT in Cedar Knob or wherever the bum**** it is.
3-0 is better than 2-1. This team has a long way to go and plenty to work on. And yeah, they absolutely need Meeks back in a hurry.
I get there are only so minutes to go around, but I sure would like to see Zion and Joy a bit. I get that the staff realizes they need to win today, but at what freaking cost? Corey is the only guy coming back next season. I mean, seriously? This team ain't going 32-5.
It was fantastic to see Mark in the house night but I was disappointed more WSU fans weren't there to thank him. He was clearly moved by the evening, and loves this program. You can't fake that reaction.
