I wouldn't say MB carried us. He had a couple good post ups but gave up even more on the defensive side from being lost. If he can't stay with UNI bigs, I'm not sure how we can have him on the floor vs Memphis

Yeah I'm surprised at his defensive play. He was supposed to be seasoned after playing against pros in Europe and so far he has been getting bullied by mid-major posts.

It wasn't always pretty, especially with some of the defensive rotations, but those are winning numbers.

I think that's going to be coming. McGinnis had a lot to learn that Bell already knew. Tonight Bell took some big steps in paving the way for McGinnis to get some of his minutes.

I think you under estimate the UNI 6'11 250 LB big fella. Actually, I was pretty impressed with UNI. Had we not gotten hot from the perimeter early in the 2nd half we probably would have lost.

Live stats do say that, but going back and watching it was the correct call. It was 10 seconds.

We certainly do seem to play hard. Defensive rotations leave a lot to be desired.

There were a couple moments in the arena that felt like the old days. Just a bit.

We win by 10 if it wasn't 5 v 8 the last 5 minutes. I think MVC teams leach off some funky pheromones that makes referees' brains melt.

It were the calls by the refs who were clearly out of position making a call, that was the most frustrating for me. A foul called underneath the basket by a ref 40 feet away, with 2 other refs standing nearby. Ridiculous.

Between the way the balding ref talked to our players like he was on a power trip and the excitement he had for calling stuff only against us, he definitely didn't appear unbiased

I'm glad it looked the same on television as it did in person. Just awful lopsided officiating, especially the balding ref!

10-15 solid minutes from AJ a night is the difference between a good team and a great team.

It was interesting that the whole UNI team would run over to talk to Jacobsen when we were getting ready to shoot a free throw. No timeout called. Not just one guy talking to the coach. Just a free timeout for them, and the refs didn’t have an issue with it.
