Thoughts from the half:
1. This tournament is EXACTLY what we need. Not from an RPI boost, because we aren't playing the absolute top of the basketball world. But we are playing in a different environment in difficult situations. These ticky-tack refs may be annoying now, but our guys need to know how to win when the refs call everything a foul.
2. Both Wichita State and Iowa are getting unexpected levels of offense. No one at Wichita State though Early was going come in and starts making threes, and I doubt Iowa thought it shoot 7-8 from three. I think that will regress for both teams in the second half.
3. See why Early needs to get minutes at SF? Told ya, we want him with Hall and EO.
4. I'd like to seem more interior scoring this half.
5. Wichita State is doing its thing when it comes to blocks and steals. 4 blocks and 5 steals at the half.
6. I think I expect the winner of the game to be ranked, or just outside the top 25.
7. I love the way this team adapts to challenges. They adapted to VCU. They adapted their offense to try and keep up with Iowa. Hopefully this continues.
