I'm sure Mills would say he owes it to the other players to try to win as many games as possible to help them achieve the goal of playing in March. Making a decision that could likely result in forfeiting games would not help that cause.

Penny Hardaway played James Wiseman after he was deemed ineligible. Memphis made the NCAAT that season and the games were forfeited a few years later.

The real issue is trust between the fan base and administration. They want fans to buy in but when this routinely occurs it's tough to accept. It feels like a Looney tunes cartoon with the old switcheroo. This is one example where the school up northeast is playing hardball while we're learning to hit off a tee.

Have Plopa go to a local judge (Dave Dahl comes to mind) seeking an injunction that forces WSU to play Bosnjak pending an NCAA ruling on the grounds that Bosnjak is being financially damaged by the possibility of losing game time and experience while getting a year older in an activity where age is a limiting factor in earning potential.

That route has been taken repeatedly with the NCAA and the NCAA has never fought it. The financial damage argument is winning EVERYTHING the NCAA is dealing with.

The Ed Plopa I know is an accountant and not a lawyer. When we both wore younger mans clothes he came across as a lawyer because most of our fraternity brothers wound up as either lawyers or accountants. The rest of us were normal.

Some CPAs also get a law degree. Don't know if Plopa did or not, but if he did practice any law it most likely would have been tax law associated with his CPA firm. He retired from his CPA practice 7 years ago. So not sure retaining a retired CPA who may or may not have a law degree/license to petition a judge who would probably have to recuse himself in this case is probably is the way to approach this. If you are going to play the lawfare game, hire the most experienced people you can find and avoid attorneys with KU law degrees in this case.

This whole injury bug reminds me how fortunate we were under Marshall to not have more players out at any given time. Did any of you guys ever go to a Marshall practice? Holy crap it was physical.
