The AAC has only seven wins against KenPom top-100 teams. And three of those are by Memphis.
Just three of the seven are top 80 wins. Two from Memphis, one from FAU. The best one is Memphis over Mizzou (50).
It's still very early in the non-con, but right now, only Memphis, FAU and UNT have the wins to even sniff an at-large. WSU could get there by winning the rest of their non-con (perhaps with the exception of Florida).
My feeling is there will be too many trip ups in conference play for more than two teams to be in the at-large discussion. And maybe only one. Which puts us back to the Valley days of hoping one team dominates the conference while another wins the conference tournament.
Yuck.

The AAC is struggling to remain at the level the Valley was at not long ago. The last additions to the AAC seemed to be volume over quality. It's early, but the picked over carcass of CUSA is ranked higher in basketball conference rankings than the AAC. The Valley is nowhere near where it used to be.
I have a fairly high level of skepticism of WSU being competitive at the national level in the future. Selections for post-season tournaments are stacked against any team not in one of the power conferences. NIL and the transfer portal are going to make it difficult or impossible to retain players with the skills and talents of the F4 team Marshall had.
The power conferences have taken complete control of the NCAA. They've got the power and they're not going to give it up. They are going to take the $$ with them as long as they have that power. The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.

Former Shocker Jenkins had 15 for Seton Hall as FAU pulled the OLD Shocker last minute play where one guy dribbles the ball for 15 seconds and then heave a desperation 3ball that wasn't even close and lose by 2. And they had a time out to use.
