Great news. I wouldn't say UA has been bad. But Nike is better.

That said, I think the 16-17 white uniforms remain some of the worst in recent times. Second only all-time to the year where we had no yellow on our home unis (mid-2000s?).

UA was a bad move! Ugly stuff

I once read years gamblers claimed UA teams shoot poorly in NCAA’’s… the theory was the UA balls weren’t great.

I am also wondering out loud if Under Armour was happy with their investment and the exposure (or lack of exposure) that corresponded with that investment, and if we now essentially have to pay for our uniforms like we did in the pre-Final Four days.

I don't think Alabama is going through a company like BSN for their uniforms.

I know I'm an optimist and big thinker, but it's why I've been relatively successful in life (I'm not trying to toot my own horn here), but I'd rather believe that Nike sees us a high level non-P5 growing intuition with a very unusual mascot to market. Of course we need winning teams also. I read recently where we received some form of recognition for having the best college basketball mascot. Maybe just one guys rating, but I believe it was a national college basketball site.

Hopefully, Nike believes we're a sleeping giant or a mid-sized giant. At one time we were flyover country for Nike and maybe that will change?

Seriously, who knows at this point. There was a time when I even questioned the WuShock logo (probably in the 80's, yuck!), but he has evolved due to marketing and rebranding the past few years. Let's hope Nike can take us to another level. I also believe the AAC gives us more potential and visibility.

I think it is as simple as the UA contract was up. Paid us for 8 years. Back to Nike, which is the premium brand. Kudos to Kevin for making this happen.
