I doubt Baker realizes how good he is.

Some very good things tonight and also some things to continue to work on. I think shot selection can improve. I think it will as they learn to trust the offense more and be patient enough to work a little deeper into the possession. Perhaps a little bit of a let down in the second half. Seemed to be coasting a bit. Not sure how many possible lineup combinations we can have but we saw a bunch of them tonight.
Should be able to do even more experimentation and letting some of the less experienced guys get minutes Saturday against Howard, a 66-36 loser to Iowa tonight.

In another thread, the question was "how good can Early be when he gets it".
I would say when his shots start falling... but, he's 15-30 in three games!
FVV is making his way. Its fun to watch him use his smarts and caginess. Joked on twitter that he ruined a 100% freethrow game #dumbfreshman.
How often were Orupke, Hall and Early in the lineup at the same time?

Hopefully, Fred, Jake, CJ and Nick get good minutes against Howard. All four of them had some nice contributions in the win over WCU.
Really nice assist by CJ on the pass from the top of the key to Evan on a back door cut and a nice 6 foot bank shot in the lane.
Nick let the game come to him and showed good effort on D. Kid can get to the basket.
Jake with a nice baseline fade before being saddled with 2 quick fouls. The kid also will battle for his share of boards.
I think D-1 ball is proving tougher than Fred thought it would be, but I also see a quick learner.
No rotten apples at the bottom of this Shocker barrel.

I think it was interesting to see how many shots WCU shot from outside. They had no interest in driving to the bucket or even attempting many post feeds, and I think that was because of shotblockers. It could be that they just normally don't score at the rim much, but it seemed excessive in this case. They had a decent big man that knew how to create space and shoot over defenders, but he wasn't enough and didn't seem that effective with Orukpe on him.

1. I liked FVV demeanor. Very cool and confident. He is one of my favs and soon he will be a fan fav.
2. I thought Nick played better than just OK. When he waves his arms and spreads his legs on defense, he intimidates. He played 10 minutes.
3. I want to echo something Aargh said. EO intimidates in so many little ways. He discourages drives, alters shots and is getting better on help. His line might not look terrific, but he is effective in non-box score ways. I think the arrow is pointing upward on his basketball I.Q. Maybe not straight up, but up.
4. Western Carolina from the field - 62 Wichita State from the field - 53
5. Western Carolina bench scoring - 7 Wichita State bench scoring - 43
6. Lufile looks like a linebacker. Someone is gonna get hurt and it ain't gonna be Chadrack."Prediction is very difficult, especially if it is about the future."

I agree. I do not recall the three being on the floor at the same time."Prediction is very difficult, especially if it is about the future."
