Hoping to hearing more observations of those of you who witnessed the scrimmage. Who won the 3 point contest?
Shocker basketball will forever be my favorite team in all of sports.

The most impressive were Beverly, Hill and Q. Pipkin was playing good defense. I don't know if there is any playing time for him but Joy looked pretty good too. Knocked in two triples.

Bev, Washington, and Pipkins all stood out to me. Feels like we are deeper and way more athletic with this group

Enjoyed Shocker Madness. This team is much better than LY. We have much more depth. The team looks much tougher and better disciplined. I didn't notice any lazy playing. If QB gave give 20 plus minutes a game and stay healthy, this team can contend for the conference title.

I would echo almost everyone who has commented here.

I've been a HB fan since day 1. His BBIQ is off the charts good. He sees things before they happen, understands spacing etc. Sometimes he tries to do too much, but then there are times that the other players don't understand what he's doing. He looked super last night.

Pipkin is an absolute menace and a better ball handler than I expected. He's not a particularly good shooter from what I've seen, but if he was, he'd probably be at Duke. I don't know how you keep him off the floor much.

Corey Washington has all kinds of ability. He didn't look especially confident last night, but it's all there.

QB is a stud. His movement looks more natural this fall, to me at least. Bosnjak is a professional. Game isn't too fast for him at all. He's a tank out there but smooth. Again, like Bev, exceptionally high BBIQ. Not a clod either, the big man moves well.

AJ might not have been spectacular in his play, but he's fine and can really shoot it. I don't remember a lot of Bomba but he was out there and certainly not out of place.

One has to be careful about projecting Joy. He is a physical freak and looked really, really good out there. And very much within himself.

We have significantly upgraded the PG spot with Hill. And Pipkin. Significantly.

RDIII is just solid. Not going to hurt you and makes plays.

This team doesn't have to rely on XB.

There's enough talent to be good. I think we can be excellent defensively, IF we come together as a team. Healthy, this team should be competitive to get into the tournament, and as good as anyone in our conference, day in and day out.

I would agree with all of this and say that the experience on this team was evident. I didn't notice too many people looking lost like you might expect this early on. The ceiling of this team is as high as we have had in a while.

Junior forward Corey Washington scored a game-high 11 points for the yellow team, while adding a block and three steals.

Should I be encouraged that yellow hung in and was leading late or concerned that black had to win it in the final seconds. Looking at the starters it appeared to favor black
