It's proper to show respect for teams and keep the game in a proper perspective but this is getting a little bit too mushy for me.

Cu plays Cal right now on the PAC 12 network (Channel 247 on COX in Wichita).

Cu leads Cal 34-29 at the half. The PAC12 announcers were very complimentary of Cu, WSU and Illinois St during the first half. They said there is nothing mid major about Creighton or WSU.

Cu up 44-33 early in the second half. McDermott has already scored 20 points.

Cu up 55-43 with 10 minutes left in the game. McDermott has 26 or so.

Cu up 65-56 with 4+ minutes left. McDermott is sitting on the bench with a wrap on his elbow. He has 28 points. Cu lead by 14 just a couple of minutes ago.

Cal hits a 3 to cut the lead to 67-62 with 1:42 left. Cu ball.

Cu wins 74-64. McDermott finishes with a season high 34 points. Wayne Kreklow's son, Ricky plays for Cal. He spent a lot of time guarding McDermott and he fouled out of the game.
