Drake notched a 74-64 home win over Ooey-Fooey and Illinois State drubbed Western Michigan 85-63 in Normal on Saturday to go with the Shocks's win and UNI's win. Creighton plays Akron today in Omaha and should win that game handily. Barring an upset of Creighton the Valley will go 5-3 this weekend with UNI's overtime win at George Mason the best win.
Not much going on during the upcoming week (finals I'm sure effecting that) with the only mid-week game being the Shocks at Tennessee which is an opportunity for a quality win.
Next Saturday, UNI plays Iowa and Drake plays Iowa State in the Big Four Classic in the Wells Fargo Center in Des Moines and Creigthon plays a late game on the west coast at California.

Half time of CU vs Akron game on ESPN3 Katz did a "buy or sell" segment. He is "buying" Wichita State. Was very complimentary and said the Shockers will definitely push Creighton for the top spot."He called me around noon and was thrilled," Brandt said. CU leads Akron 43-31 at half. Stat of the day: In the first half of his 10th game today, Towel took only his 2nd shot inside the arc of the 55 total shots taken this season.....he has made both.Comment

Update on CU guard Josh Jones. It's not the most encouraging statement but he is out of the hospital. Playing or not, you've got to wish this kid's going to be 100% not just today, but for the rest of his life. Good luck young man.Comment
