I don't think I ever called him out but there is a big difference between Weems and Wiggins. Wiggins is a Shocker, Weems not. As far as I'm concerned, the fans of other schools can dislike all our players. It usually means we are beating them.

Nick's antics do bother me. I always said that if Weems played for us, I'd be embarrassed by his display and that doesn't change because Nick is doing some similarly stupid stuff. I'm all for a player being excited, but that crap can be left somewhere else. I would be thrilled if he stopped with the nonsense.

Sorry if players acting like idiots bothers some of us. Those that take no issue with it better not have had issues with Weems and players like him is all I'm saying. I've never liked it and never would have done anything like that when I played and it sure as hell wouldn't have been tolerated by my family. And I'm not that much older than these guys doing it so we don't even need to go there.

I personally would rather they didn't. But I'm fine with it, as long as it's done 5 or 6 times a game. If it's just once or twice, it prolly shant be done, due to not quite being warranted.

the only thing that bothers me is the 3-goggles thing. i didn't like it when weems did it- why would i like it now?

Make no mistake that Wiggins isn't doing 1/5 of the thugginess/douchiness that Weemsbag has done or ever done. It's just one little characteristic that sours him a bit. I love when players get excited and are pumped up. Save it for the timeout or stoppage in play. Weems performed the goggles thing with more flare and displayed it for a lot longer than the 1 or 2 sec Wiggins does it. I know it's pretty fashionable to do nowadays. It's definitely not as bad as Weems' goggles but I guess if he just limits it to the 1 or 2 seconds he does it, it's not as bad. Still would rather him smile or skip or clap his hands..

I'm good with the Carl Hall lion roar. It's never at anybody including fans. Just a personal celebration. Same with Wiggins' chest thump, because he just does it quick and not at the crowd or opposing team.

But the goggles. Totally different. Showboating for the fans and looks like a newb. Needs to drop that antic quickly.

I agree completely with this. When someone yells or thumps their chest to pump themselves up, I'm good with it. When it's antagonistic and aimed at fans or the opposite bench, cut that crap out.

It's like the difference between spiking a football after a touchdown vs. the Ickey Shuffle.
