  • AFA on the road will be no easy task.

    • I agree. They are not talentless, they are very experienced (5 senior starters), disciplined and they can really shoot it.

If we underestimate them they are fully capable of shooting us out of the gym.

No doubt about that. I think the people complaining about Air Force being our challenge opponent a while ago saying it was going to be an RPI killer may be eating some crow, self included.
        Deuces Valley.
        ... No really, deuces.

I too would love to hop in line for the crow buffet if the Falcons can pull off a win tonight. Their 5-0 record is padded with two victories over non-D1 squads and three cupcakes so far...but a road win over CU would give them legitimacy.

Not looking too bad against a ranked opponent on the road.... at least through a half.

            • I am interested to see if fatigue sets in and the shooting falls off towards the backend of the second half. They were already huffing and puffing pretty hard the last few minutes of the 1st.

              • Air Force has played their butt off this game, but the Buffs have pulled away in the second half. AFA is dependent on outside shooting, has little inside presence, and the Buffs are currently leading the rebounding battle 44-16. I think the Shox defense will also be much better than Colorado's and we will dominate them inside. Let's beat Tulsa first, though.

                • Well, those pundits sure had UCLA pegged right with their Top 15 rankings. Cal Poly beat UCLA 70-68 at UCLA tonight. This was a team that needed OT to beat UC Irvine by 1 at home earlier this year. Also this week, they got beat by Georgetown and only beat a very bad Georgia team by 4.

Please send this BS ranking out the window. They were horrible last year and you have idiots thinking they're a Top 10 team and pegged as a No.3 seed for the dance this year. Nope, still horrible.

                  • UCLA could be a good team at the end of the season, with Shabazz just starting to play and all, but they aren't a top 100 team right now.

Watched a little of SDSU-USC. SDSU is quick and athletic, they'll be a force to be reckoned with again.

                    • I dont care how hot they are shooting, I along with several other Colorado Shocker residents will be cheering our asses off during the game and hopefully making the Shocks feel a little more at home. I hope they show up a day or to early to get as adjusted as they can to the altitude though.

                      • Make AF use their legs and similar results to last night will happen. Don't want to put these guys on the foul line either.

I wish this game wasn't on a Sunday afternoon. I would be half tempted to drive out for it if it was on a Saturday.

Yes and they even struggled with ISU Blue, who also played horrible that game.

I would be up for a road trip.

                            • Kind of surprised there isn't a charter bus going out there. Or is there?

AFA draws like UNI or even worse. Should be a ton of good seats.

I'm guessing the coaching staff negotiated for a Sunday so they could go a day early, acclimate to the altitude, and not miss much, if any, class time.
