My apology if this has already been posted. Good MVC review from CBS Sports.

What I don't like: Lack of athleticism.
Yeah, I can see that will be a big problem for the Shocks this season! :wink-new:

Best freshman: Fred Van Vleet (Wichita State). Say this name out loud, right now, 14 times. Van Vleet is tiny (6-0) but said to be a great leader, solid distributor and played on a team full of small guys in AAU who beat almost everybody they played. He was chased by many a Valley team before Gregg Marshall ultimately snagged him.
Love Judge Fred, but Ron Baker actually may have something to say about this. I expect Fred to do well but it may be a challenge for him to find a lot of playing time this year.

Another 4th place prediction. The Shocks are flying in super-stealth mode right now and I have to say I like it.

What's with using the old "wheat script" logo?

They have the new Bradley logo. Is this something our athletic department needs to share with CBS?

Well, to be fair, he said it about the Valley as a whole and backed it up why. He also said: Defensively, only Wichita State was a top-75 per-possession team last year. Of course he also thought we lost most of that. I'd disagree.

When you look at the top 11 players in the league, it doesn't really ooooze athleticism. Quality, solid players, yes, with some who are very athletic.

Ha Ha. Valley teams will treat this like ostriches.

LOL. Look to the one who leads this athletic department. That logo may be flowing around for a while with the communication/professionalism this department has.
              Deuces Valley.
              ... No really, deuces.

"Of any league preview or assignment that I had this fall, this one got me the most juiced for the start of the season. I mean, it's the Valley! It's as competitive, entertaining and charming a league as college basketball has. And this year, again, it should be intriguing not only because it will have at least one team with a shot at reaching a Sweet 16, but the top half of the league should assemble into a race that's equal parts competitive, unpredictable and just plain good basketball."

Seriously, when was the last time (in the last 30 or so years) that the MVC received this great a pre-season write-up from anyone, including our own MVC sportswriters?
