Whoa whoa hang on. I don't think a lot of us are on the same page here. There was no video right before the team came out. Last year, that video was BatWu. This year there was only one video: the one right before the Shocker starting line-up is announced. That video was awesome and like PlaneShocker just stated above, it's the one that replaced last year's video that he posted. I liked the one from last year (the link he posted), but I think I like this years just as much if not more.

Does that settle the confusion??

I don't have a problem with the video portion, I have a problem with the choice of music. I mean, I don't get it. It sounded like a mariachi band. Who the hell can get pumped up over that? You need big orchestral music to accompany it to provide the powerful effect needed - strings and drums. Not a bunch of crazy sounding trumpets.

As anyone knows, half the power of a really good movie is the music to convey the mood.

I personally like Macklemore, but I'm not a huge fan of the way they cut up the song to fit the video. It isn't the worst introduction video ever.

Macklemore is the shiz. I really like the song and I felt it fit on the video pretty well. It kinda built up a little and such. I still love the video

This year's video is an Oscar worthy production compared to the shite we've seen in the past. Anybody criticizing the quality of this year's production should be banned for excessive stupidity.

I have to say I didn't like the video - you need something that gets the crowd going. This video isn't it. I don't understand why the athletic department doesn't get it?

You act like everyone evaluates these things exactly the same. Every video that has been put out has been created professionally. You are talking about emotions that are defined differently by each person. While I'm not an advertiser, or a media person I would imagine that there are cost variables (Super Bowl commercials are super analyzed/polled and ultra expensive) and other variables that prohibit a sure home run everytime for every person.

I agree that a couple of them have been very good and a couple just average but there have been none that are bad.
