  • Cox 22 Programming Monday, November 5

I've got a commitment Monday night, so I checked if the Shox might be on Cox 22 so I could record the game.

Cox 22 is showing KU vs. Washburn. Grrrr!

It's bad enough that the Shox have to be on a channel that requires a specific cable TV provider, but to get bumped for a KU game if there's a conflict is a bit disturbing. I imagine the WSU athletic department may not have released the game to Cox 22, but having KU game instead of a WSU game just flat rubs me wrong.
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.

It's an exhibition, I'm sure they're trying to maximize ticket sales.

Channel 3 carries the KU games, so I'm guessing they put it on channel 22 so they wouldn't preempt "The Voice".

The WSU-Cox agreement is so stupid. Yah, let's limit all your game coverage to a company that serves maybe half your fanbase and dwindling as we speak.

Nobody is going to switch to Cox for WSU basketball. I love WSU but not at the expense of getting that POS company into my home.

I wonder how long the agreement is between the two. It would make the most logical sense for WSU to move to a system that lets EVERYBODY in the state get access to WSU basketball, like KWCH or back in the day KAKE used to have.

But then again, we are talking about the WSU PR department here..

I live just over an hour away from Koch and am unable to attend most games. As such, I have cable exclusively because of channel 22. My dad, brother-in-law, father-in-law all do the same. I know several other out-of-towners that feel similar.

I'm talking about road games, games nobody attends, whether they live in Wichita or an hour from Wichita.

Because I have AT&T, I cannot watch any Cox games. Neither can probably have the fanbase, who probably doesn't carry that worthless company either. You don't grow fanbases when you carry your road games exclusively to one worthless cable provider while other in-state schools have road games telecast on a channel that's carried by ALL cable/satellite providers.

I think you totally missed the boat with my point.

It's usually 22, but I don't think they are playing it tonight.
