I do agree with your point about starters. It is slightly overemphasized. Especially with how deep our teams are, it becomes even more meaningless.

Color me as an EO skeptic as well. I will gladly eat a crow pate with a splash of chardonnay if EO goes apeshit. Just based on seeing him in the past and seeing him in the present, I think he still has a lot of work ahead of him - work that he may never finish while at WSU. He will get some minutes, mainly for defensive purposes, but I'd be surprised if he averages more than 10 min/game, unless of course we are blowing people out by 30/game, which I'd say would be highly unlikely at this point.

    ... No really, deuces.

Ding, ding, ding, ding...this is the most plausible/realistic take yet. Congrats.

Hall does play the great majority of his minutes at the 5, with Lufile & EO (who I really do like by the way) splitting time in a BACKUP roll.

Either White or Early start at the 4...the other probably plays close to equal minutes, with Hall playing some as well. Yes, the lineup of Hall at the 4 and EO at 5 will and should happen on occasion. Despite early (no pun intended) predictions, Early will play primarily at the 4, not the 3.

EO will see approximately 12 minutes per game...period...maybe a little less, but not much. A logical case can't be made to the contrary without rose colored glasses attached firmly on the face...sorry to the EO man crush team members. No offense is intended.

Keep talking ERRR trolling. You will get a second helping of crow at the appointed time.

          • Our best combination in the front court will be EO, Hall, and Early. That's 3 shot blockers, 3 glass eaters, 3 guys with explosive moves to the hoop (yes, EO was showing that), 2 guys that can stretch the D (Hall to 17' and Early to 22'), and 3 guys that will score if an opponent uses a front court help defender.

That's not even taking into consideration what those guys can do to wear opponents out when those guys are running in transition.

Then bring in Lufile, White, and Wessel when those guys need a blow.

It would not bother me one bit if those 6 guys all got around 20 minutes. That would make for a lot lot of fresh legs at the end of games and at the end of the season. This team could be nasty evil by March.
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.

The first thing you need to do is watch the following video courtesy of WuShockReaper. Pay special attention to 3:32, 4:18, 5:05, 6:14, and finally the 7:27 mark. After doing so, you will want to get your pre-crow affairs in order because CB's Chuck Wagon Express is cookin' up something special for ya, and brother, dinner won't be late!

              • Who will start? The paper spoke today of Wessel and his improvement as a possible starter. Marshall once said something like in my paraphrase " I try to recruit players that all have the potential to start here." We now see a pattern with Marshall as an impressive recruiter surrounded with Assistant Coaches that are also impressive in this area. Thus, the practices are now for warriors only that understand they have to earn their time and pay their dues. Soft or the weak of heart need not apply.

We will be in the hunt in the Valley this Season. We are contenders, not pretenders. Marshall teams rebound, have quality depth, and play the D. No player has a guaranteed starting spot because each practice and each game matters how you perform in terms of minures played. Match ups will matter and game situations are all different which means certain Shockers will be called on depending on the strenghts they bring to the table.

What does it all mean? We all have opinions but we are at few practices, only games. Right now, I see Hall, Early, and Armstead as earning plenty of minutes. However, competition will be fierce for even them and on nights they are subpar, we have options for some of even their minutes. Here would be my starting lineup today. However, will this mix ever hit the floor at the same time? Dunno.

                1. Armstead 2. Baker .3.Wiggins 4. Early 5. Hall.

I am very offensive minded and with injured players, who knows what happens when we are running on all cylinders. Coach Marshall is quite defensive minded and we have speed, rebounders, and athletes that should create havoc which will feed our offense through our defense. It's all good. Now I must hit the hay. FSF will sleep well because so far, so good.
Shocker basketball will forever be my favorite team in all of sports.

He is a 7-foot monster of a physical athlete. This is where some on SN get mesmerized with EO, because we have never had such an athletic marvel. It doesn't make him a quality basketball player. His BBIQ is low, which is the challenge for him. He went from 5-to-7 minutes per game as a So/Jr. Yes, he was playing behind a very good player, Stutz. However, over the last 10 regular season games EO scored 6 points only one time and didn't even play in 2 blowouts. What does that tell you. The coaching staff doesn't trust him. There is more trust this year, because he has improved...enough to play maybe 12 minutes per game. He will rebound, score little and block shots. Other than blocking shots his defense is questionable.

I just respectfully try to keep certain posters honest when it comes to EO. I just don't have by rose colored glasses on when it comes to him. Don't hate me for it. It's just reality.

As far as my golf game...here is my swing philosophy...

Flat load my feet, so I can snap load my power pack. That way I can amplify both lag and drag pressure through impact fix. As long as my #2 power accumulator doesn't break down, I can reach maximum centrifical force with minimal pivotal resistance. You see, the pivot is utilization of multiple centers to produce the circular motion for generating centrifical force on an adjusted plane...plus it makes the bounce necessary to promote the 2-line delivery path. You can divide the golf swing into 24 basic components, each having between 12-15 variations. When you keep these simple swing thoughts in mind good golf is easy to master...just food for thought.

Respectfully, Fever, that is how football does it. In NCAA men's basketball, at least, who gets the ball to begin the 2nd half depends on who had the last "jump ball", i.e. possession arrow. It is just under a 50%-50% proposition that the team winning the opening tip will ALSO get the ball to begin the second half. The opponent of the team getting the opening tip will get the ball to begin the second half in the number of "jump balls" oin the first half is an even number.

Remember when Nancy Pelosi said about Obamacare:
"We have to pass it, to find out what's in it".

A physician called into a radio show and said:
"That's the definition of a stool sample."

                              • In my simple mind when a team obtains the jump ball, they have a 50 percent chance having one extra possession.
