You could convince me we were taking a dive in about 90% of our games this year. So.... Not sure there is anything here. Obviously the gameday line move is very suspicious looking. Crazy! Nice going Temple.
Is point shaving in the NCAA even illegal anymore?
I don't see how that's not an acceptable NIL deal. If FanDuel or DraftKings want to make a deal, let them. They shouldn't get monopoly protection.
Sure it's illegal.
NCAA cannot keep players from making money off of their own name, image, or likeness, but this isn't players making money off of their name, image, or likeness. This is players making money off of shaving points. NCAA is still able to make and enforce rules regarding competition.
The truth will set you free. But first, it will piss you off.

There's no reason a court would have to take away the NCAA's ability to regulate gameplay. No player would bring suit over it and not get laughed out.
Only way NCAA loses that right is if the big conferences leave the NCAA and form their own league with hookers and blow, but even then they'd form a new governing body that would enforce fair competition rules.

Bullshit. It’s regulated as “entertainment” and subject to the same rules as the WWE. Point shaving is utterly unenforceable.

Jokes man. Jokes.

IDK...I saw 4 in a row complete "bricks" that could look a lot like attempted point shaving in that last game. I know HCPM said nobody is missing free throws on purpose but my goodness. All 4 free throws are from 2 guys that literally had scholarships at P-5's last year. Wth? How can you be that bad at shooting free throws when the team just made a huge comeback to get back in the game. They can't suck that bad can they???
