Cortes may be the worst player I've seen wear a WSU jersey in a while. Some of his turnovers are inconceivable. Like, a no look pass straight into a crowd in the paint, aimed right at everyone's feet? WTF?

In fact, the Shockers sputtered more than they have all season out of halftime with nine straight empty possessions, including six straight misses and five turnovers.

Microcosm of the game:
Down 9, under 10 seconds left, Mills yells out to the team “No Fouls”. (Take the 9 point loss and head home).
What does Cortes do? He fouls, and he fouls the dude who hasn’t missed a FT all game long.
That’s the bball IQ we are dealing with, and he’s been starting.

Cortes needs to find another team to fire his turnovers around. He just isn't close to an AAC level player.
Look, I understand HCPM taking a chance on him. He was grabbing available players to put a roster together.
But now that he has had a good look, help him find a suitable school after the season. He just isn't going to help HCPM get to where this program aspires to be.
That is all.Above all, make the right call.

Pohto's Offense Rating last night was a very good 115.
However, Ballard's Offense Rating last night was _off the charts_ at 205!
The offense was TWICE as effective over 100 possessions when Ballard was on the court as Pohto. Even though Pohto scores more than Ballard, it comes at the expense of other players being effective.
Know who had the second highest rating? Ridgnal at 123. That's excellent!
They got a total 17 minutes and 16 minutes respectively out of a 40 minute game.
FWIW -- the entire team had bad Defense Ratings last night.

QB either blocked or altered so many shots in the 1st half, TU didn’t have much of an answer. DR was at least being aggressive. Tough to do when you are on the bench.

Honestly, the analysts on espn, who are probably better than any of us on here, straight up said these guys are not the guys, that they don’t have talent. They also seemed confident in That Mills will find his guys in the off season, and I really hope they’re right because this has been BAD

A study conducted by The Eagle that broke conference games into five-minute segments revealed WSU’s worst five-minute stretch is coming out of halftime. The second worst? The next five minutes of the second half.

When asked if the struggles on Wednesday could be pinpointed by a lack of energy coming out of halftime, WSU head coach Paul Mills rejected the idea.
“Our guys are energetic and they’re dialed in,” Mills said. “I wouldn’t blame the players at all.”
