Anyone that reads my posts knows I've been pretty negative. Lots of negativity from the posts I have been reading. Ya know what? I saw a lot of positives tonight we just can't seem to sustain in the second half. Our offensive flow and movement was outstanding the first half. The two point gimmee with two seconds left was a damaging dagger. The FT difference was ridiculous and probably THE biggest difference. Can't get close to Haggerty or you get called. We WILL beat them here without the heavy ref influence. I love QB's defense but surely anyone can see how much more efficiently the offense runs with KP. Would still like to see them in together again. Keepers are XB ( BC is terrible and a waste of a schollie ) , HB, KP and QB !!!!!!!!!!! Good nucleus if we can retain. Need two new perimeter makers, a solid PG and a decent younger portal center. Center is and will be our strength if we can keep them. I know everyone is pissed but I am encouraged for the first time in awhile. I think we win TWO in Ft. Worth...............maybe three ! The team is improving. Go Shocks.

Hoping after the season, Mills finally admits that he way underestimated the type of player he needs at WSU. There has to be no other logical explanation. He just either got portal lazy or was way off the mark.

I guess he also could have out all his portal eggs in the Abmas basket, and came up empty.

Fair point. I believe that Turgeon and Marshall thought the same thing about the MVC. (good sources)

As been said a few times tonight, barely any Ballard or Riginald in the 2nd half is more than perplexing and honestly, needs to be addressed/questioned. Some coaching accountability needs to be had.

QB either blocked or altered so many shots in the 1st half, TU didn’t have much of an answer. DR was at least being aggressive. Tough to do when you are on the bench.

At halftime Coach throws out so much info so fast it hard to digest in short order unless you have high BB IQ.

The team can’t absorb all the in-depth adjustments send their way and end up coming out of half as glazed over zombies.

He needs to adjust his approach then. Maybe him and the coaches can put on a puppet show for the team that shows what they are supposed to do? Might sink in then.

In all things we do, EXCELLENCE should be the goal. There are multiple paths to it..some longer and some shorter than others. But, you have to at least take the steps instead of running the opposite direction. A race towards mediocrity (or worse) should never be a race we would desire to win.

No kidding. Next time you can, add up the number of managers, trainers, assistant coaches etc., that sit on or near the bench. It outnumbers the players.

Then, think about a tight athletic budget and how much $ we spend on travel for that entourage.

As mentioned in the opening post above, be aware of Haggerty (23 pts tonight and Williams (21 pts tonight). Tulsa made 5 more threes and 18 more throws than the Shocks. Nuff said.
