And I don't disagree with you.

      • UTSA holds about 4100 currently.

They're currently raising funds ($30M) for a new 50,000 sqft training facility with multiple courts for each program that would use it.
They also have campaigns going for a 10K seat arena, new baseball and softball stadiums as well as new track and soccer stadium.

        FAU holds 2900.

I believe they've upgraded their locker room. There's been some talk of possible expansion to seating. I don't know enough about the building to know what could be done if they do go that route eventually.

        • This off week is already starting to remind me of off-season. Sunday can't get here soon enough.

Like myself you must be a glutton for punishment. Strangely, I think we are going to pull the upset.

Temple has the #6 most wins in Division 1 basketball. I would not be surprised if the City of Philadelphia, population 1.4 million (not the metro) produces twice the # of Division 1 basketball players than the entire State of Kansas.

What does this mean? Are you in denial or something? Are you using your own ranking system?

I read this article the other day and found it interesting… surprisingly, they (Baylor) built a 7,000 seat (500 additional standing room) facility. Probably due to ridiculous costs of new construction.

Baylor’s basketball teams are playing in a new home along the bank of the Brazos River after 35 years under the golden dome of the Ferrell Center.

Does Bell bullrushing into the lane 10 times a game without thinking to pass and just flailing up something that doesn’t have a chance or get stuffed in his face not constitute as a mistake?

                              • Temple may have a historically good name in basketball, but we need to look to the future of the sport, not the past. Texas, as a state, historically has had a lot of apathy towards college basketball. That’s changed and the state produces a lot of talent. UNT, Rice, SMU, Baylor, Houston, A&M, and Tech are all gonna get their share of talent, not just UT, You can’t ignore what’s happening on these campuses in terms of facilities development, enrollment, campus growth, etc. They may not have name recognition for basketball, but they are all building programs and have the funds and student populations to compete.
