Too many players who make bad decisions on offense. UNT generates good shots whereas we don’t.

I said it in the preview thread, but North Texas is NOT strong at scoring down low. Their stats this season show this. Where is North Texas strong? SHOOTING FROM THE PERIMETER. Somebody needs to ask HCPM why the heck WSU was playing such soft perimeter D to start the game. Nearly every three was WIDE OPEN for the first ten minutes.

I don't normally get this worked up, but the defense was atrocious to start the game from a scheme and effort perspective.

WSU also has zero offensive identity beyond using the pick and roll to hunt iso matchups, but I'll save that complaint for another day...

Buckle up. For what ever reason team was NOT ready to play an important game. Defense was slow and lifeless the first ten minutes and dug us a deep hole. They move the ball for good shots we seldom get a good one. Coaching. We have a size advantage but coaches don't know how to take advantage. We are so weak at PG. My last prediction was 16 W's but now I am saying 13-14 despite playing a pretty weak schedule. I want to see Mills succeed but my goodness we are getting badly out coached tonight. Whatever happened to MTXE? These guys are not it. Disappointed, very disappointed on our level of play. I thought we had the pieces to be better. I thin k I was wrong. Enough said.................for now.

Would it be possible to get a guy like Colby coming off 1 or more screens for a more open catch and shoot look? Must all his shots be forced isolation shots? I am truly not a basketball expert, but getting our best shooter better looks that aren't all exclusively iso just makes sense to me and never seems to happen.
