No doubt he's for real, but he will have to beat out the best player from U of Oregon from two years ago…a senior and single season record holder for steals…All defense team and averaged 10 points and 4 assists…I'll be pleasantly surprised if he is able to beat out Mr Armstead.

Ding! Ding! Ding!! We hve a winner. That's got to be FVV's handle.

I really love the following FVV is bringing from Rockford, and I love their enthusiasm for their hometown star, but Fred's beating out a guy who's 4 years older and has proven himself at a very high level would be a nearly unfathomable achievement. In D1 basketball, putting a Fr PG on the court is normally considered a liability. Maybe Fred can learn the system fast enough, and learn to adjust to D1 ball quick enough to get on the court and have some good results, but it's more likely this is going to be a learning year.

Fred will get his chance, but his fans and followers should not be disappointed or lower their opinion of him (or the coaching staff) if he ends not getting a lot of minutes this year. It's not going to say anything negative about Fred, his efforts, or his abilities. Demetric Williams has played PG on a WSU NCAA team and on a WSU NIT champion team, and we're not expecting him to get many minutes at PG this year.

WSU is considered an "inexperienced" team this year. PG and PF are probably the positions with the most D1 experience.
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.
