A fundamental Dale Carnegie Success Principle states that if you’re wrong, admit it quickly, and never tell another person he or she is wrong without first admitting that you, too, could be mistaken.
--Dale Carnegie
I knew I should've put a smilie face in there. SORRY RDR. How's that?
"Hank Iba decided he wouldn't play my team anymore. He told me that if he tried to get his team ready to play me, it would upset his team the rest of the season." Gene Johnson, WU Basketball coach, 1928-1933.
People screw this up all the time. The originator for the saying was none other than are own Coach Gene Smithson. It occurred on Mar 20, 1981 after The Wichita State University Shockers had just beaten the Univeristy of Kansas Jayhawks in the Sweet 16 round of the NCAA Tournamnet. Coach Smithson said, "Jayhawks taste great. In fact, they taste like chicken." Bob Lutz, The Wichita Eagle and Beacon - March 21, 1981, Front Page.
So you are saying there is a chance? After all, Kentucky thought "Stutz the Clutch" was all theirs? Wrong!!!!!!! Just sayin!!!
In the meanwhile, after watching Nick this summer, I am elated that we signed him and believe he will be one of our very best players this Season. Nick will make Andrew and all other Shocker fans very proud to have him on board here at 21st and Hillside. Hopefully Andrew can come here and watch our beloved Shockers play a game or two this Season. That would be grand.
Shocker basketball will forever be my favorite team in all of sports.
