  • Garrett's first international action

Garrett's pro team is the S. Korean representative in the 2012 Jones Cup Basketball Tournament in Taipei which started today. Oddly, the tournament doesn't seem to have a 2012 website, so news and details are a little sketchy. Here's what I've found:

Games begin at two hour intervals each day through Aug. 26 and are played at midnight to 6 a.m. Wichita time. I haven't confirmed a live feed for any of these games. There are rumors in some articles about ESPN coverage later in the tournament. Phillipino station AKTV is televising some of the tournament -- including a 4 a.m. Monday US/Korea tilt -- though I don't know if streaming will be easily accessible. (this is a possible link: http://www.pinoychanneltv.co/2012/06...ming-aktv.html)

The US Team comprises pros from the Asian leagues and features rookie James Justice of NCAA dunk competition fame and former SIU baller Jermaine Dearman. (http://www.asia-basket.com/William-J...?NewsID=281353)

“The rebellion on the populist right against the results of the 2020 election was partly a cynical, knowing effort by political operators and their hype men in the media to steal an election or at least get rich trying. But it was also the tragic consequence of the informational malnourishment so badly afflicting the nation. ... Americans gorge themselves daily on empty informational calories, indulging their sugar fixes of self-affirming half-truths and even outright lies.'

Through three games, Garrett is averaging 14.6 ppg and 5.3 rebounds. Korea is 2-1 with the loss coming to the U.S 84-75. Garrett only played 19 minutes in that one possibly due to foul trouble.

Box scores will be posted at the link below. Garrett is No. 14 in your program for KOR.

Garrett appears to be spliting time with Juan Pattillo, 6' 6" PF jumping jack. Juan played his senior year (2010-11) for WKU who averaged 13.7 ppg and 9.1 rpg. Box shows Garrett starting first 2 games, Juan the 3rd. Garrett did have 4 fouls in the game against US.
