  • Any more rumors on schedule?

Have not seen much on the upcoming schedule lately. What are the latest thoughts by those who might know?

A recap of what I believe we think, Alabama fell through. There is a contract out with somebody else for the last spot. I haven't heard any rumors on who it is.

Is the Tennessee game a done deal? Do we know if it is a home and home?

Tennessee will be a home and neutral.

This year's IBA opponent will hail from the same conference as last year's opponent.

Don't worry. It isn't Tulsa again, but unfortunately, isn't Memphis either.

          ... No really, deuces.

Not Memphis. Not Tulsa. Not UAB. Southern Miss?

Is there anyone in C-USA, other than Memphis, that we should be using the IBA game for? I suppose if it's like the UAB, a one and done, but still there needs to be the "sizzle" to get a strong turnout. And NO, I'm not going to get into that same discussion as last year's IBA game. I think both sides said all there needs to be said. I just feel the IBA games need to be special games, with local interest or a strong reason to draw well.

I agree. I love any chance I get to watch wsu play...including exhibition games, but I always hoped iba games would be interesting big time matchups that can sell out. Tulsa works because of the history there but uab kind of doesn't even though I did enjoy the game. SMiss works for me a little bit because of the Jank situation but that doesn't really make it a big game. If I could pick, I would like stuff like reasonable WSU connections such as Colorado, Oregon, Tennessee, Maryland and then really any big 12 school. Those are the types of games that would be the most fun for me at least

Is there a connections between Jank and Southern Miss that I'm not aware of? He's at Southern Methodist. Heier came from USM so there's a small connection for ya. I just threw them out there because they're now one of the better CUSA teams I believe. Although the coaching change could change that.

dang it! sorry about that. im just a moron and i had them mixed up. take them off my list and add USM although right now that is a crappy game :)

on the other hand, southern miss is still an alright C-USA game just because of what you said...they are at least upper echelon based on last year.

Speaking of Southern Miss, Keith Dewitt is still there and will be playing for them this year.
