I watched him play, and it seemed to me that the game is too fast for him right now.

[QUOTE=Spaulding;329244]Garrett got 15 minutes today against the 76ers and finished with 2 points, 1 assist, and 8 boards (5 offensive). Not too shabby, but he did have 4 fouls. Nice video of his dish on the link as well.

We must not have watched the same game. He missed his one 3 point shot and missed all of his put backs or chip shots (4) under the basket. The announcers wondered outloud why he didn't just stuff it. All of the shots were flatfooted, no lift. Reminded me of old times at roundhouse.

Not sure if this is directed at me or not, but I didn't have time to "watch" the game as I was working. Looking at the box score and seeing 8 rebounds in 15 minutes (including 5 offensive) seems "not too shabby" to me. I guess if you went in to it thinking he was going to be Patrick Ewing and Dirk Nowitski rolled in to one, you may have been disappointed. Having said that, he did seem to miss a lot of shots and my definition of "not too shabby" is somewhere between bad and good.

How is that a downfall? There's no defense in the NBA anyway. :)

Maybe. I guess in the NBA when the talk about tough D they are referring to dunks. Of course, that isn't exactly in Garrett's wheelhouse either. But Garrett will find a place somewhere in pro basketball. Maybe not the NBA right now, but he will be paid to play somewhere.

                      Hahaha

Yeah he'll be having lots of fun soon enough. I hope we see him in the NBA!
