Did anyone else attend the farewell party? It was a lot of fun with some great memories of Don & Shirley. They're such wonderful people and we can only hope that incoming President Bardo has half as much Shocker spirit as the Beggs do. They supported athletics to their fullest, and especially our basketball program. Many facelifts to our campus, and especially Koch Arena. I will miss them greatly.

I was up on the stage playing with the pep band yesterday. I felt so honored to be part of the group that played for these great people one last time. Don's speech at the end had my throat welling up a little bit. They'll be greatly missed. Truly great people and you could see how much love they have for the university and each other.Three things in life are constant- death, taxes, and Creighton losing in the first weekend of the tournament.
