Ugghhh. That makes zero sense. Season championships are everything. The State Farm Welfare Weekend Tournament means diddly. It's embarrassing that we haven't won it accidentally recently, but I lose zero sleep over it. Season championships are everything.

This team will be better in march than in december. Hopefully wen can figure it out and do some damage in st. Louis. Winning the valley will be tall order this year.

Agree. Also agree that the regular season title ought to mean more than the tournament.

Absolutely agree. A whole season of 18 conference games should count more than three end-of-season tournament games, but unfortunately winning the confernce championship does not get one the automatic bid. And without it, our entire season will always be subject to the whims and crap shoot of the NCAA selection committee.

Teddy? Chadrack? Henry?

From Sully's Shockwaves blog today:

Wichita State’s scholarship situation remains in flux. Three recruits are not on campus – forward Chadrack Lufile, forward Teddy Hawkins and center Henry Uwadiae. Coach Gregg Marshall said their arrival date is uncertain. “That’s all yet to be determined,” he said. “We’re dealing with a lot of things academically with those three guys, and everybody is trying to get it done.”

Thought someone said Henry had already come. Apparently not. He could end up being a Clearinghouse Tragedy.

Knew Hawkins was going to be an issue. If things haven't been worked out yet, I'm less optimistic than I'd previously been.

He's not expected until July because he's still trying to get his 2 year degree. Henry was here on a visit that he hadn't taken yet.
