Yes, that's the only article that's been written that are from observations of summer practices. I figured that it's possible that Lutz visited with the coaches and probably knew what he was talking about in it but that assumption although making perfect sense may be incorrect.

Wufan may be right too that they are going to play some 4 out and 1 in offense this year and they were practicing that. I wouldn't doubt that they would play the same position some too.

Balancing playing time with limited roles will be tough. Balancing playing time by giving the players unlimited roles makes my head hurt. With all the newbies, I think he will limit the number of positions they have to learn.
Where oh where is our T. Boone Pickens.

You may be correct and coach may begin by playing lot's of players, but I will say that I have a feeling that Coach cares about winning more than anything else and will do whatever it takes to do it in the end and if that means fewer players playing, he'll do it.

I hate to keep asking, but are there pick-up games on days where there are not coaching practices?
          Is anybody seeing any practices?
          Inquiring minds want to know.

Remember when Nancy Pelosi said about Obamacare:
"We have to pass it, to find out what's in it".

A physician called into a radio show and said:
"That's the definition of a stool sample."

I want to know too! We have some returning talent and a ton of players we've never seen before. How are these guys doing?

From the sratr of classes until the start of practices is usually the time when there is the least info available. It's one month until Shocker Madness, so we'll probbly start getting reports from Suellentrop in about 3 weeks.
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.

They're already practicing. They just have limitations on how much they practice.

I keep forgetting about the limited practices they have this time of year. To me, the start of practices will always be when the "official" practices start in October.

If anybody happens to wander in to any of the workouts Marshall is having with the players, please don't report what you saw here. Marshall takes a very dim view of fans putting anything that can be used by opponents for scouting on the Net. Pickup gaames are fine to report on, buty not workouts or practices unless they're "open". Unless you see one announced as "open" - they're all closed.

So I can't talk about the plan for EO to be the three point sharpshooter? OK. :barbershop_quartet_
Some posts are not visible to me. :peaceful:
Don't worry too much about it. Just do all you can do and let the rough end drag.

You can talk about that. I think that's an obvious transition for him.

Ok, I was going to post this but I won't.

Once upon a time when I poked my head in the weight room I saw Carl Hall get out of balance when trying to avoid crushing a kitten that snuck in. He was doing a press and didn't want to drop the weight so he hopped backwards and tipped over a full rack of about 30 plates plus some smaller weights. It made it almost to the floor, crashing straight toward the wayward feline! Orupke saw it out of the corner of his eye, leapt 30 feet from across the room, caught the entire thing with his finger tips ... using the one empty hand that wasn't already holding the water cooler he was setting up.

Nary a drop of water was spilt.

Marshall is working on a lineup with FVV at PG, Joe Mitchell at SG, Tekele Cotton at SF, Ron Baker at PF, and Nick Wiggins at Center. FVV played with really short teams all the way through HS, and Marshall wants FVV to feel comfortable.

I was tryi8ng to be silly, but that lineup would actually work against some MVC teams.

I don't know @Aargh:, the days of the 6-5 PF are all but over in the MVC. Most teams are running SF in the 6-5 to 6-8 range.
