I didn't say it'd be great, just better. People know football. They understand it for the most part. I love volleyball, but it's not football. The masses know one and not the other.Infinity Art Glass - Fantastic local artist and Shocker fan
RIP Guy Always A Shocker
Carpenter Place - A blessing to many young girls/women
ICT S.O.S - Great local cause fighting against human trafficking
Wartick Insurance Agency - Saved me money with more coverage.

Yes, but while Volleyball at the college level on up is very intricate especially the way Lambo teaches the game you can get a pretty good feel of the basics by attending a few matches. And that is really all you need to really enjoy Volleyball. Pretty much the same can be said for football. Also if a fans would simply give volleyball a chance they would find that not only do they enjoy it, but the athleticism is on display is usually well above their expectations. I'm sure that is not true in all cases, although I have yet to hear from anyone where that has not been the case.
Still I don't expect WSU volleyball to draw any fans away from high school, college or pro football, but I wouldn't expect club football to draw any fans away from high school, college or pro football either.

Basically what happened here Tropical, is this young man simply tried knocking on the door and reviving one of the skeletons in the state of Kansas' closet. WSU admin. came firing back dousing the whole idea with petty little reasons that don't hold water. And after reading about how they freaked out about the mere possibility of club level football being played on the WSU campus, my guess as to why the plug was pulled on WSU football back in the 80's is that, due to the fact it wasn't getting a lot of support, the admin. at that time was probably considering the idea of pulling the plug on it. But I would probably say something like recruiting dishonesty and violations is probably what doomed football from returning to the WSU campus, even at club level, ever again. I live in the area and have spoken to former WSU football coaches about this situation. For some reason couldn't even give me a solid answer, but this goes beyond the plane crash and lack of support.
