  • NIL Valuations

The On3 NIL Deal Tracker lists all NIL Deals across the NCAA for college and high school athletes being reported by players, collectives, agents and media. On3 does NOT disclose deal financial terms. Financial data is undisclosed and private to the athlete.

Some of these are mind boggling.

Wow, that is eye opening. Where is the market value in some of these? Makes no sense.

It is funny (probably a little sad also), but the Top 2 NIL are from women sports. And 7 out of the Top 10 are women.

Some of the new schools coming into the AAC are going to eat WSU lunch in the NIL arena.

I got tired going through the list, but that all pretty crazy. If I'm not mistaken, I counted at least 7-8 deals Syd has totaling around $100,000. A number of the softballers have deals. The only men's basketball was Poor Bear for around $10,000.

All the Houston basketball players are pulling down a lot of jack. Saw Taylor Hendricks with UCF had a deal for over $300,000.

        EDIT:

OK. I probably didn't know how to read all the info I was seeing. I kept seeing Syd with different deals and the "value" of the deal was somewhat different each time. I guess what it was doing was doing a running total. Her dead "totals" $13.6K.

Also, it has Rojas and Pohto having "valuation" deals for $10.9K and $10.2K respectively.

Oh yea. Grady Dick is pulling down at least $600,000.

            Sasser @ 541K.

It's a whole new ball game from 2 years ago isn't it? Highest bidder is gonna' win.

Yeah ... these are VALUATIONS, not actual deals. The deals are "Undisclosed".

The link above explains how they derive the valuation.

Nearly all of the athletes going there would laugh their asses off at what their "value" is and what they are actually getting.

I'd love to know what the valuation multiplier is. LMAO!

Well it appears if you have a twin sister and both are pretty, athletic and look good in a swimsuit the sky is the limit

Approve or not, the Cavinder twins, who are making the most money, have been developing large followings (million+) on social media for years. There is a legitimate reason for a business to want them to promote their product.

Yeah they have been setting themselves up as influencers long before college athletics. NIL has nothing to do with them, really. It's just another avenue for profit. They are social media darlings first and athletes second.

True, but it also said this: "Since the RPM was released in December 2021, it has a greater than 86% success rate." My guess is the better (or more flamboyant or media presence) the athlete, the more likely for success. Not sure how healthy that is for team sports.

We currently have two collectives listed:

                          Armchair Strategies
                          Lady Shock Squad
"You Just Want to Slap The #### Outta Some People"

I saw that. It's meaningless in this discussion. RPM = Recruiting Prediction Machine that predicts where athletes will attend college. It really has nothing to do with valuations. They are using that engine as a data point for credibility for something entirely different.

I have a .300 batting average, so I will be top notch pitcher too.

This REALLY feels like smoke and mirrors salesmanship to get college athletes to sign up so they can sell the athlete a valuation package.

For the sake of college sports, I prefer your take. Time will tell what kind of impact, good or bad, NIL will have.
