For the day, the Shockers are:
21 and 16
Regular Season (Games of Interest):
2018 – (#22) WSU Won at Memphis in Memphis, Tenn. 85-65. Wichita State's lead had dwindled to five points when coach Gregg Marshall called a timeout to settle his squad and get key players back on the floor. The result was a rejuvenated Wichita State that pulled away from Memphis in the 22nd-ranked Shockers' 85-65 win over the Tigers on Tuesday night. "I just said: `OK, that's enough. Just relax and execute, and stop turning the ball over," Marshall said. Once Wichita State got things back in order, it built a lead that eventually reached 27, a strong reversal from the first half when the Shockers struggled to make shots. "We executed flawlessly down the stretch," Marshall said. "We got layups. We were pounding the offensive glass. We were getting it in to our post players."
2010 – Beat Indiana State in Wichita 76-70. Clevin Hannah scored 16 points and hit clutch 3-pointers that ignited a furious rally as Wichita State beat undermanned Indiana State 76-70 Saturday night. The Shockers (20-5, 9-4 Missouri Valley) trailed 58-43 with 9 minutes to play. J.T. Durley scored 14 of his 15 points in the second half. Indiana State (14-10, 6-7) suited up just eight players and was without three of its top four scorers due to injuries. But the Sycamores went on an early 15-1 run and led by 16 early. Jordan Printy scored 10 of his team-high 16 points in the first half. The Sycamores led 37-28 at halftime. Two 3-pointers by Hannah were part of a 20-5 run to pull even at 63-63 with 3:54 remaining. Two free throws by Durley 34 seconds later gave the Shockers their first lead since 3-0. A 3-pointer by Hannah made it 72-65 with 1:25 on the clock.
