I went the UH-Cincy game. The good news is we match up well with UH from a size perspective. Their 2 bigs are 6’7 and 6’8 and their guards are not that long. The bigs are athletic and active, so Kenny and Rojas will have their hands full and need to stay out of foul trouble. UH didn’t shoot a ton of 3s, mostly tried to get in the lane and take inside shots. Our guards need to stop the dribble penetration. Cincy had the benefit of getting a lot of 3s from Nolley. We don’t have a Nolley on our team but we do need to hit some 3s to keep them on their heals. If we can effectively play inside-out, we have a chance. If we get impatient and settle for 3s, we are toast. Cincy’s big man was very effective against them. Maybe Kenny can have a similar game.Last edited by Dan; January 31, 2023, 12:52 PM.

- WSU shows up after three straight great practices and feeling good about dominating a perennial bottom feeder.
- UH shows up pissed off with a chip on their shoulder and something to prove to regain their identity.
Houston by a million.The Assman

One of the keys to the game will be how WSU handles the UH post D. Houston loves to bait you into throwing into the post in preparation for the monster double. It is an aggressive hard double. The Cougars are very good at it and they rotate off it effectively. The key is quick movement and most of the time not from where the double originates. It's natural to say "hey, my guy just left me, let me dive to the basket". That's the 1st place they generally rotate. You've got to have the passer cut hard, fill in a relief behind the post (so he has somewhere quick to go) and then find the 2 open spots opposite the post....and Kenny's GOT to see the floor and for crying out loud, be ready for the double and ready to pass out of it because it's coming, and it's coming hard.
Handle that, and you'll get good open shots. Don't and those guys will absolutely eat us for dinner all night long.

I don't think y'all understand the gravity of the situation.
If you're a bandwagon fan, this is your last chance to pull the ejection handle! Eject! Eject! Eject!
For those of you who are diehard, long term WSU fans through thick and thin -- God bless you!Kung Wu say, man who read woman like book, prefer braille!
