    2016 – (#RV) WSU won at Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls, Iowa 74-55. Ron Baker scored 21 points and Wichita State pulled away from Northern Iowa down the stretch in the Shockers 74-55 win on Wednesday night. After an 80-76 OT loss to Seton Hall on Dec. 19 dropped Wichita State's record to 5-5, the Shockers have won eight in row including their first seven in conference play. Markis McDuffie finished with 15 points and Fred VanVleet added 12 points and six assists for Wichita State (13-5, 7-0 Missouri Valley), which shot 56.5 percent from the field while holding Northern Iowa to 32.8 percent. The Shockers led just 58-52 with 4:11 to play but closed the game on a 16-3 run highlighted by two VanVleet 3-pointers and a perfect 4 for 4 at the free-throw line for Baker.

    1983 – Beat Bradley in Wichita 72-65. Antoine Carr tossed in 29 points and Wichita State hit 9-of-12 free throws in the final three minutes to boost the Shockers into first place in the Missouri Valley Conference with a 72-65 decision over Bradley Thursday night. The victory was Wichita State's 13th in a row after an opening-season loss. Wichita State outscored Bradley 12-4 midway through the second half to snap a 41-41 score and go ahead 53-45. But Bradley never folded, pulling to 63-62 with 2:58 left on a basket by Barney Mines. Wichita State outscored Bradley 9-3 the rest of the way, all on free throws. For Wichita State, Carl Papke scored 13 of his 15 points in the second half and Xavier McDaniel had 21 rebounds and 11 points. It was the 14th consecutive game McDaniel has scored and rebounded in double figures. Bradley was led by Voise Winters with 26 points, 18 in the first half, before fouling out with 7:14 left, and Mines with 14 points.
