For the day, the Shockers are:
    16 and 13

    Regular Season (Games of Interest):
2015 – (#13) WSU Southern Illinois in Wichita 67-55. The only thing that stopped Darius Carter was a stray forearm. Carter scored a career-high 25 points on 11-of-15 shooting, leading No. 13 Wichita State past Southern Illinois 67-55 on Wednesday night. Late in the second half, the senior was struck in the head and left the game. "His eye is swollen up, scratched up," Shockers coach Gregg Marshall said. "But he was fantastic tonight." Ron Baker had 11 points and Tekele Cotton added 10 as the Shockers (15-2, 5-0 Missouri Valley) won their 23rd straight conference game. The Shockers scored the first nine points and their fans got so loud that Salukis coach Barry Hinson had to tap an official to ask for a timeout. The Shockers' 23-game winning streak in Missouri Valley games is the longest streak in the conference since 1925. Southern Illinois won 22 straight in 2003-04, Cincinnati did it from 1957-59 and Oklahoma State from 1947-49.

2014 – (#5) WSU beat Bradley in Wichita 72-50. The stat that caught Wichita State coach Gregg Marshall's eye Tuesday night was minutes played. Only one of Marshall's Shockers played more than 24 minutes as No. 5 Wichita State smacked Bradley 72-50 to remain unbeaten. "It's not just that we were able to rest our starters," Marshall said, "we're still trying to lengthen our bench, too, find more guys that can pull the wagon." Fred VanVleet had 22 points and seven rebounds, and Darius Carter added 11 points for the Shockers (18-0, 5-0 Missouri Valley Conference), who extended school records for winning streak and best start to a season in their first game as a top-5 team since 1981.

2006 – Beat Missouri State in Wichita 81-57. Matt Braeuer scored a career-high 16 points as Wichita State beat Missouri State 81-57 Saturday night. Wichita State (14-4, 5-2 Missouri Valley) hit 3-pointers on its first two possessions in taking a 12-2 lead and shot 45 percent from 3-point range for the game. Wichita State bridged the halves with a 17-0 run. Matt Braeuer made a 3-point shot to end the first half, and the Shockers opened the second with two more, sandwiched around two Kyle Wilson free throws. By the time Missouri State scored again, the Shockers led 49-27. Paul Miller added four points during the run and finished with 15. Karon Bradley and Kyle Wilson both scored 12. Wichita State eventually expanded its lead to 33 at 79-46. The win was the Wichita State's seventh straight over the Bears, dating back to the 2002-2003 season.

1982 – (#16) WSU beat Creighton in Wichita 69-56. Cliff Levingston scored 17 points and Aubrey Sherrod added 15 to lead 16th-ranked Wichita State to a 69-56 victory Thursday night over Creighton in a Missouri Valley Conference game. The Shockers outscored Creighton 21-9 at the foul line and dominated the second half. Wichita State took a 57-42 lead with 6:53 left after scoring 11 straight points. The last five came on free throws after a Creighton foul and subsequent technical on the Bluejay bench. After the Shockers inbounded, Greg Dreiling was fouled and hit two more free throws and Wichita State coasted from there. Wichita State, playing its first game since learning of a three-year probation by the NCAA, came out flat but took control early in the second half. Wichita State broke a 30-30 halftime tie by scoring the first 6 points of the second half and outscoring Creighton 15-5 in the first 6 minutes of the period. Tony Martin finished with 10 points while Jay Jackson added 9 and Dreiling 8 for Wichita State. Daryl Stovall led Creighton with 15. The Shockers were without star forward Antoine Carr, who pulled a leg muscle in practice Wednesday.

1957 - Won at Houston in Houston, Texas 68-53

1956 – Won at Tulsa in Tulsa, Oklahoma 64-56

1938 – Beat Fort Hays State on Wichita 39-38 (OT)

1931 – Won at Bethany in Lindsborg 19-16

1921 – Beat Washburn in Wichita 43-30. 1st game at Memorial Gymnasium. In January of 1919, plans were made to erect a gym as a memorial to those who lost their lives in World War I. Percy Bates was one of those students to whom the building was dedicated. The new 2,000-seat facility was built on the same site as the old gym. While not as large as the Forum, it would be located directly on campus, which would generate more student support. The formal opening of Memorial Gymnasium was on Jan. 15, 1921, in a game against the American Legion of Wichita. The gym was known as Memorial Gymnasium until 1926 when it was renamed in honor of Walter Henrion, a local businessman who owned a chain of drugstores and a construction company. With the use of his company, Henrion built the gymnasium and made a significant financial contribution. Henrion was one of the great benefactors of the University, supporting its athletic programs and granting financial aid to many students.

    1916 – Beat Sterling in Wichita 41-22

Yes, ole Walter Henrion was a good egg. Ross and I worked for his construction company during the off-season. His wife (can’t recall her name) was a “doll” back in the day. She made great sammiches and apple pies for the road trips.

You and Ross shouldn't have been making a sandwich with someone else's wife.

Oh, sorry, I read your post wrong. Mind must have been somewhere else.
